SettingThe girls are deep into the cave searching for a way to get out. They begin to climb upwards and come across the crawlers layer of bones. This is used to show the audience that the girls are not alone and there is something after them, adding fear.

LightingIn the beginning in clip the only source of lighting is from the girls torches. Sarah then pulls out the camera and night vision is used to see what is currently around the girls, making what is going on appear more mysterious.

In the end of the clip fire is used as lighting, giving the audience a better idea of the setting.

Costume, Hair & Make UpThe girls all wear minimal make up to look natural as they are exploring a cave this makes the film feel more realistic. They are also wearing casual clothing along with back packs with ropes attached and torches. This again makes the film feel real as they girls seem prepared to discover the cave.

Costume, Hair & Make UpTo create the crawlers prosthetics are used. This makes them feel realistic as the are actual people that have been prosthetically altered to appear scary.

Props

A water machine is used to replicate a small waterfall coming down from the cave, this adds to the setting.

The floor of the cave is covered in bones, suggesting this is the main place for the crawlers to take their food. This relates to the future deaths of the girls.

Movement & Acting The movement of the crawlers makes them appear creepy as they tilt there head when coming across the girls like they are about to eat them. When the girls see the crawler they scream resulting in it scurrying away suggesting that is is frightened.
