The center of

Florianópolis is the

place that offers the

highest number of

unnatural sights and

historical heritage of

the city. There are the

cards known as the

Bridge Hercílio Luz

and the Mercado

Público Municipal.

The center, despite its

name, is located on the

west side of the island, between the Morro da Cruz

and the sea, the point near

to the mainland. Being a

historic city Florianópolis

has the streets with

buildings and houses look

very old. It is a city very

interesting by the fact that

the tours are not just along the coast enjoying the

beauty of the beaches, but

enjoying the stories of the

city's growth.

The beachside town is very

clean, but the security is

growing murder rate among

the last year throughout the

city.

Florianópolis is a expensive city in high season,

because the index of tourism is very big advantage

for traders to profit. Out of season it can be said is

that a city is neither reasonable or expensive nor

cheap. On the issue of accommodation exists in all

prices, depends on how much comfort you want.

The city has a very

lively nightlife, as a

leisure option at

night people can

go to theaters,

cinemas,

nightclubs, bars

and even

restaurants and

enjoy a romantic

little dinner.

The climate of the city in the

first two months of the year are

sunny and hot. Already in the

months April to June there is a

wide variation of climate: the

day is very dry and sunny and

the night cold. The months

where frost may occur are from

July to September and other

months the temperatures begin

to rise again. By finding an

interesting city to visit but I

would like it.

We would like to see the Mercado Municipal,

the fortresses and of course the beaches,

especially the beach of the British because of

its beauty. The best time to visit the city are

between the months October to December,

because of the temperature, and in the off

season because of financial issues.

We should visit the city

between the months

October to December

because of weather to make the city better. To

pass the time we can see:

the Mercado Municipal,

museums, downtown

beyond; the Mirante do

Morro da Cruz, the dunes,

waterfalls, parks and

camping and do not forget

the beaches.

You shouldn’t miss the

Hercílio Luz Bridge and the

Mercado Municipal

because they are

postcards of the city.

What can be

purchased

from special

are the typical

crafts of the

region found in

the Customs

House.

The cuisine is basically represented by fish as

“tainha” fried, stewed or

poached. We should try

also the tapioca, meat with potatoes, “mineira

de taiá” (taioba),

Cacuanga (a type of

dumpling), fried oysters and fish broth and

beans. The food on

which we were more

like and we are interested to do is fry
