Who is John Manjiro?

He was born on the year 1827.

He had an oldest sister, youngest sister, and

a brother.

He went to Bird Island, America in

Fairhaven, Massachusetts, and Suriname.

His transportation was by ship.

When did it start?

How did the CA gold rush start?

On January 24th, 1848, James Marshall found gold. He put one on a

hard river stone, Marshall took 1 more and commenced hammering it.

It was soft and didn’t break.

When James Marshall announced his discovery, he only told John

Sutter and people who connected to the sawmill.

John Sutter owned the sawmill where Marshall found gold. Then

Samuel Brannan found out about it.

He was a newcomer to Yerba Buena, the tiny Pacific seaport not far

from Sutter’s mill that would soon change its name to San Francisco.

How did the CA gold rush start?

With gold dust in his hand, he ran through the streets yelling," Gold!

Gold! Gold from the American river !” The exiting news sent hundreds

and thousands of people racing to the gold fields.
