SZKOLA PODSTAWOWA NR 2 IN MSZANA DOLNA,POLAND

Our Polish group of students and teachers started the last meeting of our Comenius project Harmony of Cultures in Szombathely on Wednesday, 23rd May from visiting Savaria Museum. We could see the oldest traces of the rich history of Szombathely- the town which is 2000 years old and has Roman roots. We admired Roman exhibition and collections of findings from the first millenium. Then we visited village museum where we saw how village people lived and what they did for a living. We had also possibility to experience how they work – some of us made nice string decorations!! In the afternoon we participated in English lesson, we had a meeting with the mayor of the city and the final presentation of Comenius activities in the project. Then we watched very nice performances of students of the school in the theatre hall and we were eating delicious Hungarian food. A lot of experiences all day long!!

In the second day of the Comenius meeting students and teachers admired the beautiful area of Balaton Lake. First, we visited Sumeg castle, then the resort Balaton Fured and monastery in Tihany and next the baroque palace. This area is full of historical remains as well as natural reserves.
