TEXIT is a fun way to help students learn to demonstrate learning. I have created this visual aid to provide students with a way to enhance their work so that they can be sure that they are providing enough informaiton that demonstrates a solid response. I have video and examples that go along with this powerpoint if you are interested.

Demonstrate what you know with as many sentences as necessary to support your topic. Make your support interesting and believable. You may express yourself with words like For example… The author states…In the text… According to…

Illustrate/Analyze/Construct

INTEGRATE/ANALYZE/CONSTRUCT

Integrate a connection to another idea or context that will connect and further analyze the two ideas through an analogy, simile, or metaphor.

Tie upTIE UP YOUR IDEA!

And get ready to move on.

Remind your audience of what you are talking about.

TIE back to your TOPIC or TIE to the FUTURE.
