Come join us the night of the 2nd day of Engineering EXPO 2011! This dinner will consist of a welcome by SWE, a keynote speaker, 3-course meal, and of course – lots and lots of networking.

UT Football Game vs BYULocation: DKR/Memorial Stadium, Gate 25 (North end of the stadium) Date: Saturday, September 10th Shift times: 3 PM - 11 PM (NOTE: There are no split shifts.) Dress: tan skirt/pants, closed toe shoes, and a flashlight. Shorts are OKAY for this event. We will provide a t-shirt, which must be turned in after the event. Please note: tan is the uniform color worn by our ushers. If one of your group members arrives wearing pants, a skirt, or shorts that are NOT tan, or flip-flops, they will not be allowed to work. Parking: There is none. Please take that into account when arriving for check-in. Bags/Purses: There is no place to store them. Do not bring them. Hats: Hats/caps may be worn, but the hat must be blank or have a UT-supportive message. Food: Your group members may bring a small cooler (if it was sitting on an 8 ½ by 11 piece of paper, it should not cover the paper. There can be no large coolers for friends to share).

The Basics
NSBE Facts
In 1971, two men at Purdue University started the BSE (Black Society of Engineers)
Anthony Harris, president of the Purdue Chapter changed the name to the Society of Black Engineers (SBE)
SBE became national and NSBE was founded in 1975
Founded on the basis of retention and recruitment of black engineering students
One of the largest student run organizations in the nation (over 30,000 members)
NSBE Facts
Founded by six young men, called the Chicago Six
Six regions in the U.S.
Chapters are located in the US, Canada, all over the world
World Headquarters are located in Alexandria, VA
