Recommendations

We have shown little growth over the last 3 years. We must utilize the STAR chart information to improve and make advances in using technology in our instruction.

There should be on-going professional development that address multiple proficiency levels in technology.

Weekly lesson plans should highlight one usage of technology in instruction.

Page 15: Texas Star Chart Campus Report

Recommendations Continued

The IT staff member should coordinate their lessons to supplement the technology utilized in the classroom. For instance if Fourth graders are researching Texas patriots, the IT teacher should review researching tools and skills in their instruction for Fourth Grade.

The IT on campus should be given time to present effective staff developments that highlight practical uses of technology in instruction.
