Mark Spitz: You Phone Company Is Watching

He engaged the audience by having everyone hold up their cell phone

Your phone company is collecting data about you and your life for at least 6 months,

possibly longer

Over time, they can build a profile of your life including where you were and when you were

there

Privacy is something we have to protect.

It doesn’t just happen in Europe, it happens here in the US too.

It wasn’t until he sued his phone company that he got the information he had requested several times

before

Despite having an obvious speech impediment, I found him to be very engaging

For dynamism, I give him a 4. The speech impediment was distracting at first but after a minute, it was hardly noticeable.

He used a good balance of slides to illustrate his points as Duarte’s rule number 3 suggests.

DEven someone with a speech impediment can be a successful and dynamic public speaker as long as you are passionate.
