What have I learnt about technologies from the process of constructing my media product?

Online software / technology: In the process of sharing and evaluating my media product, online technology has played a huge part of the making and evaluation process of my media product. Using websites such as Tumblr, Vimeo, Prezi, Slideshare and even facebook, these

websites have allowed me to share my media product with the films target audience, reaching over 100 views on facebook on both the first and final cut. I’ve also been able to gain feedback

from my target audience along with my own family and friends. On the evaluation of my media product, websites such as Prezi and slide share have allowed me to evaluate my product in an

interesting, presentable way, and with the use of Tumblr, I have been able to record every step of the making process of my media product, which is the main advantage of online software,

despite a few problems with the length of time taken to upload my videos.

Software and Equipment

When I first started planning the making of my media product, I didn’t realize the variation in software that I would be using. Using affordable but professional the editing process included a canon D600 DSLR camera, standard 55mm lens with the additional fish eye lens, 4gb memory

cards and a standard tripod. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition. These programs and the equipment that I used have allowed me to create a professional looking

opening sequence and have also allowed me to see what creating a professional film would be like in the film industry. Using standard windows programs such as word, PowerPoint and

publisher helped me further in the evaluation of my media product, presenting my ideas and thoughts in a professional and interesting way. I know now what programs, software and

equipment that I would need to use to make a professional and affordable film.
