An interactive whiteboard (IWB), is a large interactive display that connects to

a computer and projector. A projector projects the computer's desktop onto the

board's surface where users control the computer using a pen, finger, stylus, or

other device. The board is typically mounted to a wall or floor stand.

In a way an interactive whiteboard can be seen as a big touch-sensitive screen, with

the board acting as a screen, mouse and keyboard at the same time. This allows

for interactions between a teacher and the computer.

the class to answer a question

Each student has a device with which selections can be made

Each device communicates with a computer via receivers located around the room

After a set time – or after all students have answered – the system ends the polling

for that particular question and tabulates the results. Typically, the results are
