Defining Distance Education

What is distance education or distance learning?Defined as a formal educational process in which the majority of synchronous and asynchronous instruction occurs when student and instructor are not in the same place. Distance education includes, but is not limited to, correspondence study or audio, video and/or computer/internet technology.



What is distance education or distance learning?

Distance education, or distance learning, is a field of education that focuses on the pedagogy, technology, and instructional system designs that aim to deliver education to students who are not physically "on site.



It is distance education because there are a teacher and a tool to deliver the instruction that is plan for.

If it’s distance learning it’s mean that it may happen without instructor and collaboration tool .



an educational process and system in which all or a significant proportion of the teaching is carried out by someone or something removed in space and time from the

learner.

In Conclusion

The separation of teacher and learner; The separation among learners; The use of technology to deliver the

subject matter; and The use of a communication channel to

facilitate interaction and support learners.

Distance education provide opportunity to people who are separate in time and place with instructor or university.
