Word Learning and Technology• In this module, you will learn about what the

research says on technology and word learning.

• While these studies are not directly related to word family instruction, there are many implications that can be incorporated into your classroom to use technology to aid you word family lessons!

Word Learning and Technology • During the module, you will watch two

videos that describe the current research on technology.

• Technology components will include:• SMART Board technology• Electronic books• Computer based phonics programs• Electronic word walls

Word Learning and Technology As you watch the videos, be thinking about what

you learned about word family instruction.

Think about how the technology research could play a part in word family lessons.

At the end of the two videos, there will be questions for you to respond to within the Wiki.
