PERSONAL DEMOGRAPHICS

I love working with children and my ultimate goal in life is to have a family of my own and to work with children to help them aspire to reach their positional. I am a junior at UCF. I am majoring in elementary education with a minor in special education. Most of my hobbies involve the out doors such as camping and for wheeling with my family.

On our way to the AMF Bowling Alley in Altamonte Springs.

Busses provided by Riverside Elementary- OCPS

Page 9: Teachers in action

Eagerly the students unload from the bus and enter the bowling alley.

One size definitely does not fit all.

As we arrived at the bowling alley the students were sized and provided shoes from the AMF bowling alley

Page 10: Teachers in action

Students are assigned bowling lanes. The teachers paired up the students based on their age group.

Page 11: Teachers in action

Students inserted their names into the electronic score board. For some of these students this was a brand new experience.

This was an exciting experience for some of the student that had never been bowling.

This student is bowling for his very first time.

It was a joy to watch the students discover their hidden bowling talents and techniques

REFLECTION OF MY EXPERIENCE

Page 29: Teachers in action

This was such a wonderful feeling to see the children taking pride in their accomplishments. The teachers that attended the bowling trip were amazed how determined the students were to reach their goal. I was proud of all of the students.

Page 30: Teachers in action

My wish is that these students realize that they are in control of their own behavior and this project proved to them and the faculty that they can follow the class rules and control their own behavior when they choose.

I would certainly initiate this project in my own classroom as it has proven to be an effective behavior modification using positive rewards.
