TEACH EXIT Counseling

Review NSLDS

▪ Login to NSLDS▪ Enter student’s SSN, Date of Birth

and First Name▪ Click on Exit Counseling History▪ Review TEACH Grant Exit

Counseling History▪ If student has completed TEACH

Grant Exit Counseling for required aid year you can close the FTGEC Checklist Item on the View Financial Aid Status screen

▪ Post comment: “TEACH Exit Counseling; per NSLDS, student completed TEACH Exit Counseling on (Date); updated checklist item.”

Update Checklist to Completed

▪ If student has completed TEACH Grant Exit Counseling for required aid year you can “complete: the FTGEC Checklist Item on the View Financial Aid Status screen

▪ Post comment: “TEACH Exit Counseling; per NSLDS, student completed TEACH Exit Counseling on (Date); updated checklist item.”
