DESCRIPTION
Teaching English in Guatemala isn't the best paid work in the world but what it makes up for in lack of salary is certainly made up for in the country itself. Beautiful scenery, fantastic history and wonderful colourful people . A growing economy means that English teaching opportunities are there for you to take advantage of. This presentation outlines some of the benefits in working in this wonderful South American country. Requirements & Qualifications
University Degree?
Unlike many countries in the world that require English teachers to hold a degree, Guatemala is
not one of them.
Of course having a degree will always put you ahead of the pack however the amount
you get paid may not be much more than if you
don’t have one.
Teaching Certificates
Guatemala can be an ideal country to go as a ‘back packer’ teacher as TEFL, TESOL
or CELTA certificate is not normally asked for. Therefore
casual teaching work is easy to
come by.
