FILM OVERVIEW The Riot Club was a 2014 British drama

thriller. It is based on a play by Laura Wade called ‘Posh. Wade is also directed the film.

Two first-year students at Oxford University join the infamous Riot Club, where reputations can be made or destroyed over the course of a single evening.

Cast: Natalie Dormer, Sam Clafin, Jessica Brown Findlay.

DISTRIBUTION AND MARKETING The film was distributed but Universal Pictures International. There is only one film poster. The film was released on the 19th September 2014.

TECHNOLOGIES There are no special effects in this film this may be because the budget is

small.

OVERVIEW The film is clearly independent as it has a smaller budget and has less well

known actors in it. The film was probably as successful as it was because it was based on a

successful play and a couple of the actors are popular with some teens.
