SYNOPSIS’

THE GODFATHERWhen the aging head of a famous crime family decides to transfer his position to one of his subalterns, a series of unfortunate events start happening to the family all and a war begins between all the well-known families which leads to insolence, deportation, murder and avenge and ends with the favorable successor being finally chosen.

THE BANK JOBMartine offers Terry a lead on a foolproof bank hit on London's Baker Street. She targets a roomful of safe deposit boxes worth millions in cash and jewelry. But Terry and his crew don't realize the boxes also contain a treasure trove of dirty secrets - secrets that will thrust them into a deadly web of corruption and illicit scandal.

A BRONX TALEGangster Sonny is the big man in the Bronx neighborhood of an Italian small boy named Calogero. A shooting witnessed by the boy (nicknamed C) is the starting point of a lasting bond between the gangster and the boy. Father (bus driver Lorenzo), however, disapproves. C grows up under the wing of both men, torn between his own natural honesty and his fascination with Sonny. C's neighborhood cronies get involved in theft, use of guns, and racial fights. When C falls for an African American girl, things don't get any easier. C's leap to manhood is marked by tragedy, but also by his recognition of the many faces of love.

CASINOThis Martin Scorsese film depicts the Janus-like quality of Las Vegas--it has a glittering, glamorous face, as well as a brutal, cruel one. Ace Rothstein and Nicky Santoro, mobsters who move to Las Vegas to make their mark, live and work in this paradoxical world. Seen through their eyes, each as a foil to the other, the details of mob involvement in the casinos of the 1970's and '80's are revealed. Ace is the smooth operator of the Tangiers casino, while Nicky is his boyhood friend and tough strongman, robbing and shaking down the locals. However, they each have a tragic flaw--Ace falls in love with a hustler, Ginger, and Nicky falls into an ever-deepening spiral of drugs and violence.

Similarities:

Murder: On purpose and planned, or mass murder. This is involved in all four films. For example in “The Godfather” it involves murder and revenge. In “The Bank Job” during the synopsis it reveals there is a “deadly” web of corruption, connoting death is involved, as it is “deadly”. In “A Bronx Tale” in the synopsis there is a “shooting” and “tragedy”. In “Casino” this is described as having a “brutal” and “cruel” storyline, this reveals conflict between characters will be involved and death is likely. This is involved in the synopsis for these films as their target audience will want action involved and will want organized crime to be involved, as it is an expectation in this genre of films (crime/drama) Murder is wanted by the audience as conflict is exciting to watch and this will attract the audience by involving it in the synopsis.
