The use of Synergy.

What is Synergy?• Synergy is when two or more separation

organisation come together to create a product, that is greater than the sum of their separate effects.

• In this case synergy is the combination of the artists music video, digipak and advertisement.

Synergy is important for any musician but especially for someone new on the scene, by having little or no media presence, people are no going to know who the artist is or what they are about, if there is no ready information on an artist, they may go unnoticed for a longer period of time compared to an artist who has multiple articles and a large media presence.

How established artists use Synergy.

Ed Sheeran and Adele both have synergy presence, they both make sure that they link all their media products together, Its vitally important that artists stay in the public eye (stay relevant) this is done by linking all there products together, for example linking their website to their current album, Instagram, Twitter and other social media sites. This idea of synergy is something I defiantly wanted to adopted and incorporate. By having a wide media coverage, with all sites and media connected it is able to reach a wider audience, by copying other successful artists as well as having the same target audience, I know that the use of synergy will do well.

How I created Synergy.

• As seen in these images, throughout JAYAs marketing campaign I made sure to link all media together, for example linking the Instagram and Twitter page to the website. By doing this it was easier for fans to get more information and see JAYA on a personal level. It will also get the newly released music video more coverage as each social media site is linked to JAYAs main website.

• By using the same headshot of JAYA, she becomes more recognisable and memorable as a brand which makes a greater impact on the fans.

How I created Synergy

• To keep consistency I made sure that I kept the same colour scheme throughout my ancillary texts. This can be seen throughout my digipak and website, however due to the type of song and feedback I received black and white didn’t make sense for the music video. So I incorporated the colour of the images seen on the ‘image’ page on the website into the music video, so it was full of colour. I feel that the use of synergy is consistent throughout. By keeping it constant the audience/fans are able to easily connect with JAYA and recognise her.
