ESDEducation for sustainable development- Not created by the education community-International political and economic forums(…….. UN forums, OECD, OAS )-From the time the sustainable development was endorsed in General Assembly in 1987 the parallel concept Education Supporting sustainable Development was being explored.- The initial thoughts concerning ESD was captured in chapter 36 of Agenda
21 “promoting Education, Public Awareness, and Training” – UNESCO.
- Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro 1992 and may Un Conferences, World Conference on Human Rights (Vietnam 1993), International Conference on Population and Development(Cairo 1994) and so on.

The natural resources are classified into two types 1. renewable and 2. non-
renewable.. Renewable Natural Resources are Energy, Water, Fish,
Forest etc. and Non-renewable Natural Resources are Gas & Oil, Coal, Rock,
Sand etc.
