Q1

According to the feedback I have received everyone that filled out my survey thought that the genre of my music video was pop. This means that I was successful with sticking to the conventions of a typical pop music video.

Q2

When asking people what abstract elements they liked about my music video, it appears that they liked the most the editing used. For example the style and the sped up elements to the video. This shows me that the editing fitted the style and genre of the video. They also liked the location and mise en scene, especially the graffiti in the background.

Q3

For the third question I asked if they thought the mise en scene was complimentary to the genre, which they thought was pop. The results were all yes, this shows to me that the conventions I used were correct. For example, the urban locations that include colour and graffiti.

Q4

All the people that I gave my survey to all said yes to liking the bright colour used in the video. This includes the mise en scene and the costume. The bright colour adds interest and fits in with pop genre conventions.

Q5

When asking what areas that I could improve on the most predominant answer was pace and accuracy, whether that was in terms of lip sync or the pace of editing. Another answer was movement in the camera, this could entail me adding dance performance.
