LIFE SUPPORTLiving Systems Lesson 1-3
Focus Question: How do the four transport systems interact with one another and support the cells in the human body?
REVIEW TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
✕ Respiratory system moves gases between the atmosphere and the blood
✕ Circulatory system carries resources and wastes to and from the cells
✕ Digestive system breaks food into sugar and other chemicals that can be used by cells
✕ Excretory system filters the blood and carries cellular waste materials out of the body
✕ Each system has many parts. Each part plays a specific role in supporting cells.
SUPPORT-SYSTEM QUIZ RULES✕ Facilitator rolls a pair of dice. Number on the dice
refers to one of the organs or tissues on the list.✕ Facilitator identifies

✕ After everyone in the group agrees that the answer is correct and complete, they write the phrase in their notebooks.
✕ Chemical Manager rolls dice and play continues as above until all the items on the list have been completed.

✕ Circulatory system transports materials in a closed system.
HOMEWORK✕ Study for quiz on Monday, January 5th.
