HypothesisWe predict that if we remove the Sub Canopy layer, it would take trees away and some animals’ homes. The whole layer that contains trees growing higher to the Emergent layer and through the Canopy layer will be effected. The birds will starve because there would be less berries to eat. Also, there would be less shade and all the plants in the lower layer would die.
Diagram and information of the Sub Canopy
The sub canopy is the 3rd layer . It contains small trees and saplings. It is above the undergrowth layer and forest floor. It is under the canopy layer and the emergent layer. The sub canopy is a very important
layer that will help our environment and creates homes for animals.

ANSWERIt takes 50 to 100 years for a tree to grow to the emergent layer.
•Why do birds live in trees?
ANSWER•Birds live in trees because most animals can’t reach them and the birds nests are hard to spot.
