INTRODUCTION

 This is a collection of our tips for taking tests and studying for tests. We have taken commonly asked questions and used resources like websites and interviews to answer them. We hope this is a helpful resource for you to have an organized and productive year.

HOW LONG/HOW EARLY SHOULD YOU START TO STUDY BEFORE A TEST?

  4-5 days before a test  Break down studying into manageable chunks

and study over time  Take a 15 minute break after studying for more

than 45 minutes  Make a study schedule to plan how much time is

needed in each subject

WHAT ARE SOME FUN AND NEW WAYS TO STUDY?

. Get together with a group of friends and study as a group

. Use online sights like quizlet, study blue, quia or flash card machine to create flash cards online.

. For many of the websites there are vocab games that can help you memorize definitions.

.MOVE AROUND FROM SPACE TO SPACE WHILE STUDYING- ASSOCIATING LOCATIONS WITH QUESTIONS CAN HELP YOU REMEMBER THEM.

.RECOPYING NOTES, AND HIGHLIGHTING CAN HELP YOU MEMORIZE THEM. RECOPY THEM PIECES ON INFORMATION ON FLASH CARDS AND QUIZ YOUR FRIENDS OR HAVE THEM QUIZ YOU.

.BRAINSTORM QUESTION WITH A STUDY GROUP THAT YOU THINK WILL BE ON THE QUIZ AND QUIZ EACH OTHER ON THEM.

WHAT ARE GOOD WAYS TO RELAX BEFORE, AND DURING TESTS?

. Take a deep breath.

. Take breaks in between study sessions. It helps to go outside or get physical exercise to clear your brain.

. Laugh. Laughing helps prevent anxiety and negative feelings form interfering with studying.
