DESCRIPTION
In Iran, the election last year of President Hassan Rouhani has led to a relatively more progressive and international academic climate than was the case during the reign of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mr Rouhani’s predecessor. These slides are from a seminar presentation given by Mr Soheyl M Ahmadi, Managing Director of Tekie Gaah-e Danesh agency (TKDanesh), at the ICEF Dubai Workshop earlier this year. He outlines some of the reasons for high Iranian demand for overseas study, including a lack of capacity in domestic universities, and offers best practice tips for recruiting Iranian students and working with government-authorised agencies. For additional background on Iran’s significance as a source country for international students, please see our related article "From the field: Iran eases restrictions on international education" here: http://bit.ly/1pVRTky For more industry news, market intelligence, research and commentary for international student recruitment please visit http://www.icefmonitor.com, subscribe for free daily or weekly updates, and follow us on Twitter http://www.twitter.com/icefmonitor.
