What is Student Connections?
Student Connections is made up of a number of elements including an annual online conference streamed live from the Open University. Students can connect with each other using, for example, LiveChat, Forums, Twitter and Facebook. Other elements, which we are calling ‘mini-connections’, are all aimed at enhancing the overall student experience by creating a sense of community.
The Faculty of Social Sciences launched Student Connections in order to bring OU students and academics together to build a mutually beneficial community.
Weekly podcast featuring interviews with academics, TMA advice, Faculty news and views
Bringing together students online allowing them to explore issues and topics helping them to present these to a wide audience.
Follow the lives of a fictitious group of OU students as they juggle life and study at a distance in our very own serialised drama.
