  • 2. The establishing shot used in this still introduces the setting of the film. The composition of the sun has been deliberately placed in a certain position which draws in the attention of the audience, focusing them on the centre of the shot. The lighting in the shot also draws them in because it is low key lighting but it also has the orange tint from the sun. This adds some colour to the shot making it look different, drawing the audience in.
  • 3. An over the shoulder shot is used in this screen shot and is used to show conversation but it also shows the expressions on the other characters face. There are faint light circles on the shot which show that the characters might be standing outside and the lights could be vehicles or street lights. There is also low key lighting in the scene with part of the characters face in a higher key lighting. This adds to the mystery of the scene because it looks like half of him is hiding in shadows.
  • 4. In this screenshot the screen is just black. However it fades out to black and stays there for a long time. This signifies that something dangerous might happen or that something different from the rest of the trailer might happen.
  • 5. The trailer then moves on and starts to show some reviews from popular film magazines/websites. They make the main part of their review in big, bold 3D text. This makes the text stand out and draws the viewers attention to it. The red light in the background could also connote danger which is conventional of the crime genre.
  • 6. This screenshot is used to show some of the cast in the film and also show the studios that are involved in the film. The name of the film is in big, bold text which makes it visible and stand out, reminding the audience of the film trailer they are watching. The colour of the font is red which connotes danger which is conventional of crime films.
