The chances are spinning either a white tile or a black tile. If you spun for the white tiles, you will have to choose to go pay what the amount is behind the tile or pay the consequences. If you have chances of spinning for the black tiles, you will receive your prize.

There are four white tiles and four black tiles which means that you have 4/8 chances of chances to lose or to win.

Behind the four white tiles is 60 pesos of which you have to pay if you do not choose the consequence. The consequences are you have to eat two whole red spicy peppers or eat a teaspoon of cinnamon ad swallow without throwing up.

Behind the four black tiles is prize money of 50 pesos.

Probability of getting white tile…

E(x)= (20)(4/8)+(-30)(1)

E(x)= 10-30

E(x)= -20

Therefore, we only lose 20 pesos but still earn 10 pesos when each player spins a black tile.

Probability of getting a white tile…

Payoff(x) 50 -30

P(x) 4/8 1/1

E(x)= (50)(4/8)+(-30)(1)

E(x)= 25-30

E(x)= -5

Therefore, we lose 5 pesos whenever a player picks a white tile but I turn we earn 30 pesos from the begging of the game plus the 60 pesos if he/she chooses not to do the consequences.
