STaR Chart- a tool from Texas Education Agency to rate the technology development in schools.

Agenda- To inform the campus of the last 3 years STaR Chart rating.

Key AreaTeaching and Learning- The educator reaches out to all students by allowing students to communicate with others worldwide, be able to take online courses to experience learning not offered in their school, and be able to use online resources.

Educator Preparation and Development- A new educator meets the SBEEC Technology Standards. A veteran teacher must attend professional development to also meet the SBEC standards .

Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support- The leaders help the district embrace the common vision to educate students of the 21st century.

Infrastructure for Technology- The infrastructure is the framework of technology that will allow all teachers and students to access technology that will enhance education.

Greatest WeaknessTeaching and Learning seems to be our greatest

weakness, but we are doing a better job with technology in our classrooms. I feel that our next

weakest area is Infrastructure for Technology. Most teachers have only one computer in their room so

students have to go to the one of two computer labs.

Greatest StrengthLeadership

, Administration, & Instructional Support It the highest key area for all three years. Our leaders in the school have a vision for technology in every classroom. Our campus principal checks to see that teachers are incorporating into the curriculum. Teachers are required to use the computer lab regularly.
