The squirrel Tree Frog could be anywhere from 1-1.5 inches. The Squirrel Tree Frog is covered in plain skin which is usually a muddy, yellow green color.
This is where a Squirrel Tree Frog lives, How it travels, and if it hibernates or migrates.
It might not be the best diet but it works
for me!!!!
A Squirrel Tree Frog eats insects such as flies, grasshoppers, etc. They can sometimes be found near light sources to get easy access to insects. They use their blending in tactic so the insects don’t see them sneaking up.
You can’t see me!!!!
The Squirrel Tree Frog protects itself by changing color to blend in. In winter though, it does not change white during the winter.
Squirrel Tree Frogs (unlike humans) are born in eggs. They can lay over 800 eggs. That’s a lot of eggs! Their young are called tadpoles. Tadpoles do NOT live on the land because they do not have any legs! They are born like fish with gills. When they get older they are known as the Squirrel Tree Frog because their mating call sounds like a squirrel.
As you know, frogs could be a prey to many animals. That’s where, yet again, the Squirrel Tree Frog uses stealth to blend in. The main reason they aren’t endangered is because no predator can find them! A predator could be stocking the Squirrel Tree Frog, but then, the frog just might disappear!
The Squirrel Tree Frog was a very exciting animal to research and I enjoyed it very much. The fact I enjoyed the most was that the Squirrel Tree Frog uses stealth to blend in and stay alive. I didn’t like the fact that the Squirrel Tree Frog sometimes lives in gardens.
