• It’s the annual Audit and the auditors are outdoing themselves this year.

• They see problems that don’t exist, but I can’t prove it

• I have given them all the data from the system reports and it’s not enough.

Auditors want it all

• The data in Oracle is less than perfect• The system is so delicate, anything less than

perfection causes something to fail• How do I find out what I need to fix and what I

can disable?


The database is full of bad data

Why is Oracle so complicated?

• I would like to meet whoever designed Oracle– Intercompany scenarios require looking across operating

• Don’t sign off without being 100% sure of the data

• Check the conversion data from every angle• Avoid signing off on data you don’t completely

understand


Don’t blindly sign off Oracle Projects

• Don’t make decisions based on system reports alone

• Change your mind when you need to• Support the system programs by knowing

what they require to work• When the business changes, change your SQL

query
