Tomorrowland Trailer

“Giving us background information such as where the action is set”

Tomorrowland explains what is going on throughout the trailer; what has to happen and what the characters are going to do to portray the events of the movie itself.

“Informs us about the characters.”

Tomorrowland tells the audience that the female character is persistent and is strong willed, and that since the male character is older he is more wise, and educated the female character and what she must do, is chosen to do and how to.

“Helps to build a sense of anticipation about the films release.”

During the tomorrowland trailer, it raises plenty of enigmas, which is what a trailer is supposed to do, get the audience on their toes as to what is to come in the trailer.

“Reinforces the title of the film.”

The trailer mentions “Tomorrowland” about once or twice throughout.

“Sets the tone of the film.”

The tone of the film is of a fast pace, this gets the audience on their toes and expects the movie to be this enhancing. The trailer also gets you thinking if it is fast and all together.

“Summarises the story in around 5-8 lines. It does not give away the ending, but helps us anticipate what is to come.”

Tomorrowland summaries in a little more than 5-8 lines, it gives the ending away however it is only very briefly; something a trailer shouldn’t exactly do.

7 Minutes Trailer

“Giving us background information such as where the action is set.”

The 7 Minutes trailer gives us all the necessary information that people expect to see throughout trailers, however this trailer is special as it lets us connect all the actors together and why they are doing what they are, in 7 minutes.

The trailer informs us that there us one main character, that is stronger and more experienced than the other charcaters.

“Helps to build a sense of anticipation about the films release.”

The trailer uses loud music to create tension between the trailer and the audience, this gives the audience the feel of them being on their seats. They also use characters with deep voices, this gives the characters the edge that a trailer needs.

The trailer for this movie only reinforces the title of the film once: “We’ll do this in 7 minutes.”

The trailer sets the tone of the sense that the characters are doing something bad and something that they are not meant to do. However, from certain lines throughout the trailer, the audience can then realise that they are only doing this bad thing to right something good.

The trailer for 7 minutes only summarises half of the storyline throughout the trailer, unlike the other trailer I analysed.
