The Sun is a very , very hot star.It gives us light and heat. The nine planets in the Solar System

go round the Sun.The comets reflect the light of the

Sun.The Sun is a hundred times bigger

than the Earth.

The Earth

The Earth is also called “the water planet” .

It takes the Earth 365 days to move round the Sun.

People , animals and plants live on the Earth.

The Moon

The Moon is our satellite. The Moon is a very , very cold

planet. Neil Armstrong was the first man

to walk on the Moon.

Pluto

• Pluto is the smallest planet in the Solar System.

• It is also the ninth planet.• It takes Pluto 248 years to go

round the Sun.

• He is american, and he is 78 years old. This is a big step for a man but a big

leap for mankind.
