Our Extended Day begins at 12pm where kids sit down together and eat their packed lunches brought from home.

Teachers eat with the kids and help with opening containers, sharing in conversation, and even re-directing when required.

After eating, kids spend the time playing. While no formal curriculum is prepared, the teachers support the kids as they express their interests.

Lunch Bunch is offered Monday through Friday from 12:00pm to 1:30pm

WHO IS LUNCH BUNCH FOR?

3 years 3 months Lunch Bunch is offered to children in the

Rainforest, Oak Tree and Olive Tree classes who are at a minimum of 3 years, 3 months.

New To Cottage? If you are a new family, we ask that you consult

with the teachers before considering to sign up, they will assess whether your child will be developmentally ready to participate in extended day. If Teachers recommend waiting, we will reserve a few spots for families who want to participate and sign up in January.

WHEN DOES IT START?

October 1st, 2009 The Extended Day will begin on Thursday,

October 1, 2009 and continue through Tuesday, June 1, 2010 with the exception of days school is closed (please see school calendar).

À LA CARTE?

You can sign up for extended day (Lunch Bunch) for the entire year

OR

There may be an á la carte option where you can “drop-in” for an extended day.

This will depend upon available space – we will know more in September after signups.
