MYTHS

History is very boring Lot of dates, places, names have to be

remembered in chronological order Everything gets mixed up once we complete

the full syllabus This is not true study history like a story and

keep narrating to others

HOW TO APPROACH THE SUBJECT

Divide the subject into following parts Ancient history Medieval history Modern history or the freedom struggle Art and Culture World History (for mains)

through NIOS and NCERT (Old) for basics.

Always remember: “Basics are the Building Blocks of your Preparation”.

Make mental notes of all the important incidents e.g Quit India movement etc

PREPRATION STRATEGY

After Starting Preparation Make your own Running notes which will be useful at Revision Time.

Maintain Separate Notes of Ancient, Medieval and Modern History.

You should be in a Position to List out the Contents Chronologically.
