• 1 in 5 BC Children are growing up in poverty.

• Nearly 19,000 families in BC have food-insecure children.

• Food For Thought provides free breakfast to over 1500 children a day in Kelowna, Lake Country and West Kelowna.

• Programs run in 32 locations, covering 80% of district public schools.

• By ensuring children begin their day with a nutritious breakfast, we see: • happy productive classrooms • reduced behavioural problems• increased academic performance • a sense of community
