The Greatest Explorer Of All TimesSir Francis Drake was a terrific man, one of his major accomplishments was that he was the first Englishman to successfully sail around the world. When he was 18, he started his career in ship trade. He also helped defeat the Spanish. That is why he should be explorer of the year.

Sir Francis DrakeSir Francis Drake was born in either 1540, 1541, 1542, 1543, 1544, or 1545 and died in 1596. He was born in a cottage in England. He was the oldest of eleven brothers.

ShipwreckedWhen Sir Fracis Drake was 24 while he was on a ship, they hit something(he didn’t know what it was) they sunk but he escaped. In 1583 hi wife died unexpected, he soon married Elizabeth Seydenham, one of the worlds wealthiest woman.
