2. NUTRITIONThe function of nutrition is essential to live . Nutrients give our cells all the energy theyneed. The digestive system , the respiratorysystem , the circulatory system and theexcretory system carry out the function ofnutrition. 3. THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEMThe digestivesystem is madeup of the digestivetract and digestiveglands. 4. THE RESPIRATORY SYSTEMThe respiratory system is in charche ofbreathing .Breathing makes two movements : First , we inhale air and it goes into to thelungs . Then , we exhale air sending it out of thelungs . 5. THE EXCRETORY SYSTEMThe excretory system filters wastesubstances from the blood .The excretory system is made up of : Sweat glands The urinary system : Is made up of thekidneys and the urinary tract . 6. THE EXCRETORY SYSTEM1. The kidneys remove waste substancesfrom the blood and they make urine .2. The ureters take urine from the kidneysto the bladder .3. The bladder stores the urine .4. The urethra connects the bladder to theoutside . 7. THE CIRCULATORY SYSTEMThe circulatory system transports nutrientsand oxygen to our cells . It is made up ofthe heart , blood , and blood vessels .The heart is a muscular organ that pumpsblood around the body .The blood collects oxygen and nutrientsand transports them to all the cells . It alsocollects waste substances and takes themto the sweat glands and the urinarysystem . 8. The blood vessels : there are 3 types of bloodvessels : arteries , veins and capillaries . 9. Capillaries: are very thin vessels that reachall the cells of the body.Arteries: carry blood from the heart to therest of the body .Veins: carry blood from all over the bodyback to the heart . 10. THE BLOODBlood is a red tissue made up of cells thatfloat in a liquid called plasma .There are three types of blood cells , redblood cells , white blood cells and platelets . Red blood cells carry oxygen . White blood cells remove bacteria andviruses from the blood . Platelets are small fragments of cells thatforms blood clots . 11. 12 12. THE HEARTThe heart uses rhythmic systole anddiastole movements to pump the bloodaround the body .Blood enters the atria through the veins andpasses to the ventricles .Blood comes out of the ventricles , throughthe arteries and travels all over the body . 13. Heart septum 14. HUMAN CIRCULATIONHuman circulation is closed and double .Human circulation is closed . In mamals ,the heart septum separates the two halvesof the heart .Human circulation is double . The bloodfollows two routes . Pulmonary circulation . Systemic circulation .
