RESEARCH AND FINDINGS
In Brazil theres 0.3 % of fresh water, so that would be 118, 639 billions of literes of fresh water. In Dinmark theres 69.6% of fresh water, so that would be 24,36 trillions literes of fresh water. In North America theres 30.1% of fresh water, so that would be 10,55 trillions literes of fresh water. In the hole world we have 35 trillions literes of fresh water.Almost 70% of fresh water of the world is contained in ice´s form. The rest in it´s mayor part is in the thanks that we are using with more speed than natural speed.2\3 of our fresh water is used to produce food. With 83 million people on earth each year, the demand of water will be more, unless we change the use of it. The USA uses nearly 380 literes of water in houses daily.Millions of the poorest people in the world consist of children younger than 19 years old 46% of people in the world do not have fresh water in their homes.Women in developing countries walk 6km for getting fresh water. In 15 years, 1800 million people will live in regions with poor water resources. One of each 8 people do not have any acces to clean water and fresh water. 3.3 million people die each year for health issues related with water.REF: National Geographic Magazine Water edition april.

INSTITUCIONS FOR WATER POLLUTION
Marine Bio is fully commited to marine and oceans conservation and founded a concept that by sharing the wonderes of the 7 seas and 5 oceans and the hole marine life and world, people will be insired and passionate to protect them. Peopl can consider becoming a Marine Bio Conservation Society Member to help us bring the ocean and the conservation message to as many people as possible.
Global Marine ConsevationAntartic and Southern Oceans Coalition(ASOC): The ASOC´s southern oceans fisheries campaign works on five continents to stop the illegal unreported fishing that is dramatically affecting fishes homes.
Blu Ocean Institute: a organisation dedicated to inspiring ocean conservation through science.
Conservation International: a organisation based on Washington DC and operating in more than 30 countries world wide.

DEGARDING TRASH IN THE WATER
Dumping off litter in the sea can cause huge problems.Litter items such as 6-pack ring can get caught in marine animals and may result in death. Different items take defferent lengths of time to degrade in the water, causes like:• Cardboard- 2 weeks to degrade• Newspaper- 6 weeks to degrade• Foto-degradable packing- 6 weeks to degrade• Foam- 50 years to degrade• Styrofoam- 80 years to degrade• Aluminium- 200 to degrade• Plastic packing- 400 years to degrade• Glass- Scientist don´t now yet.

ORGANIC WATER POLLUTANTS
• Food• Insecticides and a huge ranges of chemicals• Tree skin• Petrolium like: diesel, gasoline, jet fuels, fuel oil, motor
oils.REF: buzle.com/…/causes-of-water-pollution.html
MORE CAUSES…
• OIL• Fertilizers• Soil• Sewage • Chemicals• Plastics• Litter
o Oil: petroleum often pollutes water in the form of oil.
o Fertilizers: contains nutrients chemicals that help plants to grow.
o Sewage: when materials such as clipings and leaves and waste from animals, enters the water and damages it.
o Soil: pollution of water is also cause when soil washes off dried fields.
o Chemicals: chemical pollution entering rivers and lakes causes great destruction.
o Plastics: floating plastics is ugly, and very harmfull for the enviroment.
o Litter: when people drop litter to rivers and beaches, get worse every day.

ANIMALS IN DANGER
• Asian Otter• Green Turtle• European Otter• Galapagos Tortoise• Grey Seal• Sea Lion• Sea Otter• Penguin • Polar Bear• Leatherback Turtle• Bottlenose Dolphin• Southern Right Whale• Spotted Tree Frog• Stellar Sea Lion• Fresh Water Crocodile• White Shark
• Sea Eagle• White Tailed Sea Eagle• Commersons Dolphin• Spur Thieghed Turtle• Mannatee
WHAT CAN WE DO TO HELP• We can conserve water by turning off the tap when running
water is not needed. This helps to reduce the amount of contaminated water that needs treatment.• People should be carefull about what you throw down your
sink and toilet.• Don´t throw paints, oils, or other forms of litter down the
drain.• Don´t throw litter and rubbish to rivers, lakes, oceans and
more.• Help clean up any litter you see on beaches, rivers, lakes
and more.Make sure it is safe to collect rubbish and put it in a near trash can. REF: water-pollution.org.uk/preventingyou.html
WATER TREATMENT IN ACUEDUCTO BOGOTANO• The plant treatment for water PTAR SALITRE, helps
to unpollute the water of the river salitre.• PTER salitre is the result of the effort with the
nacional goverment, the distrital and the Acueducto Bogotano, gives out 4 thousand litteres of water each second to the Bogota river.
• The process aplied is a primary treatment chimacally asisted, it extracts from water 40% organic material and a 60% of solids.
• The plant treats water produced from aproximately 2.2 millions of habitants, correspondant of the 28% that is the total poblation of the city comes from homes, offices, schools and universities.
FUN FACTS!
Some 70% of the earths surface is covered by seas and oceans, and these produce almost ¾ of the oxygen we humans breathe. We can use directly only 1% of this water, however , in many forms of human activities put water resources under considerable pressure.Whatever the source of pollution is, it can be harmful a effect on human health and enviroment.

Washing your hands with soap can reduce a lot of diseases until the 45%.
