Inspiring Element

The Inspiring Element from the Peacock is it’s feathers. The Peacock’s “tail” or known as “train”, consists of many elemental shapes. They are known for the shape of eyes.

The Inspiration

The inspiration of our project is from the Majestic BLue Peacock. Blue Peacock or the Indian Peafowl, is a species of peafowl native to South Asia.. Originated from species of peafowl native to South Asia.. Originated from the Indian subcontinent, they are then introduced to many parts of the world as a Majestic species of birds. Peacocks are the national birds of India. They usually adapt themselves with human habitations and are found mainly in places where water is available. With its tail fanned out, the peacock displays its beautiful plum-age for all to see. age for all to see.

Circular Sector

The circular sector shape is obtained from the inner pattern of the quill feather. The minor sector of the removed circle has an angle of 60° where as the remaining of the major sector has an angle of 300°.

Teardrop Curve

The teardrop curve is obtained from the quill feather of the pea-cock. The perimeter of the feather gives a teardrop shape which we used as one of our basic shapes.The form of the quill is obtained from stacking of linear lines of different length. The teardrop curve has a sharp 60° acute edge.

Analysis of Inspiring Element

From the train of the peacock, we derived 2 interesting shapes and multiple rules which can be used in our design rules. The quill of thepeacock has a metaphorical shape of an eye. In the train of the peacock, the shape of the eye is repeatedly organized in a crossarrangement. The 2 shapes are the teardrop curve and fractioned arrangement. The 2 shapes are the teardrop curve and fractioned circle.
