To warm up 4 teams of 5 players 5’

Make two teams giving numbers from 1 to 4 EXPLANATION:

- FIELD half of the basketball field - 2 teams are playing against each other (the same in the other half) - 1 ball per game - AIM to make 10 passes within your team - You cannot run with the ball - If the other team touch the ball, start again

FOCUS ON move to be able to receive the ball! IMPORTANT

EXPLANATION: - Each group in a half of the half of the field - 2 balls per group - ROLES offense, defense, passer (the others make a line behind the passer) - The offense has to move to receive the ball, the defense has to stop that - After pass the ball offence, after offence defence, and after defence get

the ball and you go to the end of the line doing some tricks (bouncing, …) - After receiving the ball, play 1c1

offense - Don’t bounce the ball, catch it and bounce again - Don’t walk or run with the ball in your hands

FOCUS ON: - Stand free - Triple threat choose the best option - Good defence looking at the ball and your player at the same time

Divide the group into 2 groups (give numbers) There will be two parallel different activities. One group will start with activity 1 and the other with activity 2. After 10’ we’ll switch groups.

1 SHOOTING GAME

To practice shooting Half of the group, in pairs 10’

Put circles on the field, different colours depending on the points EXPLANATION:

- In pairs, a ball per pair - With your pair, try to get the maximum number of points shooting from the circles - Shoot, get the rebound and pass the ball to your partner

2 ZONE DEFENSE

ORGANIZATION: - 5 against 5 - One team is the offense 5 basketball position - The other is the defense ZONE (2-1-2) - Change roles after 5’

EXPLANATION: - You defend a ZONE, not a PLAYER - Move depending on where is the ball

Do an example, move the ball slowly and explain how to move in each position Play a normal game, focusing on the defense

EXPLANATION: - 5 against 5 - Normal game but you cannot bounce the ball, only PASS it

AIM to focus on the defense movements and on moving to stand open
