1 COLOURS GAME

To warm-up Everybody in the central circle 10’
Before starting, throw 10 balls to the corners and limits of the field EXPLANATION:
- Touch the colour I say + 5 push-ups/sit-ups after that + come back to the middle - Running all the time, don’t stop
The last time, instead of saying a colour, tell them to get a ball, only half of the group will get a ball. To make pairs, the ones with the ball choose someone with no ball.
2 TECHNIQUE EXPLANATION

EXPLANATION: Overhead technique:
- Triangle shape - Over your head - Touch the ball with your fingers toe
Underhand technique: - One hand on the other one - Put your thumbs together - Close your hands - Touch the ball in your wrist/fist
3 TO PASS THE BALL

EXPLANATION: - In pairs, one ball per pair - Pass the ball to each other using both techniques learned
After 5’ do the same but over the net After 5’, change pairs
4 SMALL GAME

EXPLANATION: - One ball per group, yellow fields - Only hit the ball once, but you can catch the ball and continue the game - 2c2

EXPLANATION: - Groups of 4-6 student (make your own groups) - Take the mats you need - Come up with 8 different stands - Transitions between the stands - 3 lessons to finish the performance - Example sheets to help

1 BALL’S FIGHT

To warm-up Two teams of 10 people (numbers to make the teams)

EXPLANATION: - Two teams: 10 vs 10 - Each team in a side of the net, balls on the floor, same number of balls/team - At the sound, 1’ time to throw all the balls to the other field, over the net - After 1’, count the balls the team with less balls on their field is the winner - Play 3 times
Variation using volleyball technique, pass the ball to a partner before throwing, add more balls
2 REVIEW VOLLEYBALL TECHNIQUE

EXPLANATION: - Overhead technique ASK FOR AN EXAMPLE
(Triangle shape + over your head + fingers toe) - Underhand technique ASK FOR AN EXAMPLE
(One hand on the other one + thumbs together, close hands + wrist/fist)
3 COOPERATION

EXPLANATION: Over the net try to keep the ball on the air
- every player in the pair has to hit the ball before passing to the other side - Goal: to do the max. number of passes within the hole group - Count the passes, when the ball falls start again
4 SERVICE TECHINQUE

To learn how to serve Sitting on the floor 5’
EXPLANATION: - step forward with the opposite leg to the hand that you serve with - blend knees - ball below waist, on the opposite side
- hit with the flat part of your wrist/fist
5 SERVICE + COOPERATION

To practice volleyball techniques In pairs (they can choose the pair) 15’
EXPLANATION: Same than before but:
- STARTING WITH A SERVE - Count the passes - Same fields organization
Variations after 5’ - try to hit the ball three times before pass the ball to the other side (player1 underhand + player2 overhead + player1 overhead) Possibility to change pairs and groups when it gets boring

2 EXERCISE COOPERATION

Practice “3 and pass” 6 groups of 3 3 fields WHAT TO EXPLAIN:
- position passer (1st contact) – setter (2nd contact) – hitter (3rd contact) - Underhand + overhead + overhead - Switch positions (everybody try all the positions) - Try to take the ball to the other field (not a game, just COOPERATION)

Same organization than before = 3 fields (3c3) RULES:
- If you get a point after 3 hits it counts double (maximum 3 hits) - POINTING SYSTEM When you make a point you get the service - WHEN DO YOU SWITCH POSITIONS after get the service back (EXAMPLE) - Be able to catch the ball to make the game better - Correct service, underhand and overhead technique
