Präsentationsnotizen
Anne Mette Holt, Head of International Relations at DTU, worked with strategic partnerships for more than a decade. The story behind this workshop is in itself a success story about international partnerships. Since 2006, TUM and DTU have been partners in the EuroTech Universities alliance, which has grown to become an alliance with a European impact. We are both strategic partners with UQ, which we collaborate with across the palette of research, education and innovation. And it is actually from these contexts that Tatjana, Siyu and I know each other, and that's also how we got the idea for this workshop. So it will very much be based on what we have learned together and not least of each other. I think we have all experienced how the paradigm of international university partnerships has changed in recent years. From quantity to quality From concluding separate agreements on student exchange and research collaboration to the development of partnerships that cover a range of fields to stimulate synergy and in depth collaboration From internationalization for its own sake to effective international collaboration with a focus on impact and return on investment be that policy making or increasing take up of funds for joint projects. We would like to use this next hour to share our perspectives, instruments and approaches with you, and we hope you will do the same. You may have wondered about our choice of title: Towards AAA in international engagement. Pathways to effective strategic partnerships. In our joint presentation, which will follow in a minute, we have tried to establish three different angles on international partnerships. 1A: UQ will tell about their systematic approach gather and Analyse data to optimize their partnership portfolio.2A: TUM will tell about their strategic approach to filter and Augment the value of partnerships and what they focus on.3A. Partnerships should not only be maintained, they need to be developed and Activated on a continued basis to make sense and provide value. It is at least DTU's approach and we will tell you about the instruments we use. When we finish this session, we hope that the three A's will make sense – if not we hope that our presentations on pathways to effective strategic partnerships are useful to you in your work and that you were inspired by our joint discussions. we are hoping for a dynamic dialogue with you as an expert audience and would like to hear not only your questions but also hear about your experiences, strategies and instruments. So, please see our presentation as an appetizer for the exchange and discussion that we hope to have with you afterwards. We have planned for a 9 minute presentation each, which should leave us with around 15 minutes for this part of our session. [Hvis få deltagere tour de table: institution, position og motivation.]Mulig demonstration of UQ's system.
