First, I inserted my image and resized it and cropped it using the magnetic lasso tool. I also altered certain aspects of the image such as the saturation to make the image stand out more against everything else that will be placed on the page.

I then changed the background from transparent to a dark red as this is the colour scheme which I found in my audience research. I used the fill tool to do this.

I then inserted my masthead for my magazine using the type tool and used the gradient tool to give it the gradient effect and also added some effects to make the words bold and stand out more.

I then inserted my positioning statement under the masthead using the type tool once again. I also made it into italics.

I then inserted the bar code which was a jpeg into the corner. I also used the type tool to insert the price and date.

I then inserted my coverlines and main coverline using the type tool and also placed some rectangles behind my lettering to make them stand out from the image and background using the shape tool and then filling them in with a colour that related to my colour scheme using the fill tool.

I then inserted a strip at the bottom of the page using a rectangle tool once again and the type tool to insert the text overlapping the rectangle.

I then inserted a puff in the shape of a circle using the shape tool and filled it in a pale grey colour using the shape tool and then inserted text to overlap the shape using the text tool. This is the final step to creating my final product.
