Definitions Bridges

Truss Bridge- Is a bridge supported by trusses (a truss is a framework of beams that form triangles).

Arch Bridge- A bridge supported by an arch or a series of arches.Suspension Bridge- Bridge having its roadway hung from large cables supported

between tall towers.Beam Bridge- a simple beam is flat and is supported at both ends.

StructuresShell Structure- Structure with a solid outer surface.Solid Structure- Structure made of a solid piece of strong materials.Frame Structure- A structure consisting of a rigid arrangement of parts joined

together.

Suspension Bridge

The purpose of the suspension bridge is to be light weight and it can be longer with out having to have a huge cost.

Arch BridgeMade to be able to hold heavy loads and it works by the dynamic load to push of the piece of wood or stone till it is transferred to the end supports.

Beam BridgeThe beam bridge is designed to be used lots and be able to be short or long with additional support piers.
