THE SCHOOL DECRIPTION

Between 1946 and 1988 the school was located in a small village near Toruń,

called „Brzoza”. In English it is a birch tree.

That’s why it is in our school logo. The school used to have four classes

and only1 classroom then.In 1998 the school was moved to Toruń.

After that, the school got the name after the worldwide famous

traveller Tony Halik. He’s our patron.

Every year there are about 200 students in the primary school and about 100 in the

junior high school. We function together in the

same building. Our staff is about 30

teachers.

W have our own banner. Three best students from primary school and three from junior high school are

holding it on important

official assemblies and

school celebrations.

MODERNITY

Our new English classroom

In September 2015, our gym was renovated. New balls and sports equipment was bought.

This is our new gym:

Students represent schools in many tournaments and competitions: -chess, -football, -floorball, and many others.

Tournaments:

FootballEvery year, we organize a football tournament. Our younger students at the age of 8 participate in it.

Chess and checkers

Every year our school is invited to take part in tournaments of chess and checkers.

“Bieg Czerniewicki”“Bieg Czerniewicki”

is our annual tournament

organized by our school in spring.

Students take part in a race and they run around the beautiful

forest near the school.

FloorballEvery year, our school is invited to play in a floorball tournament.

ZającThe Earster Hare competition is also annual – we make the funniest bunnies like this one:

“Najpiękniejszy różaniec”The most beautiful rosary – annual task to make a rosary out of different things, for example: acorns,candies,shells...

Halloween

Every year we also make the scariest jack’o’lanterns

ChristmasThis competition is annual, too. We make beautiful Christmas decorations.

Next to our school we have got: - a playground for kids, - a big football pitch with artificial lawn, - a small pitch for handball, - a running track.

Outside

Students spend breaks between lessons in the hall or outside on the pitch.

The school is located in a quiet area surrounded by forests and fields. Near the school there is the longest river in Poland, the Vistula River.
