For years now there’s been a big push to incorporate more
and more technology into your child’s classroom.
R
Where there was once a chalkboard there’s now a “smart board.” Laptops and iPads are as common as pencils and paper.
In some instances even the classroom’s been replaced by “virtual” learning.
Online classes are convenient, but they’re not for everyone.
Some children get “lost” when left to their own devices.
R
That’s where “blended” learning comes in. The concept is simple. Your
child takes advantage of an online course, but also has face-to-face
interaction with a teacher.
According to the U.S. Department of Education, students perform better in blended courses. The online tools help enhance student engagement and the
interaction with a teacher helps a child’s socialization skills.
Stacy Costa of School Answers Academic Success Centers:
“There was a time when online courses weren’t widely accepted. Now, in 2015,
even Harvard offers them. Learning in the online environment is difficult for some
students, and not for others. Either way, it opens up education and learning for
students to a whole new level...”
“...It allows them to retake courses perhaps they didn’t do well in, to take
courses of study that perhaps their high school didn’t offer, and in some instances,
to pre-take courses before high school.
At School Answers, we offer these courses online, but to ensure success, we pair them with direct access to NJ certified teachers to help students achieve the
highest level of comprehension and to get the best grades in the classes.”
This summer you can help your child stay on top of his/her game
with a blended learning experience. The Summer Smarts program at
School Answers Academic Success Center is just the ticket.
