Seeking 2012 Summer Internship

Graduated from Richland High School Class of 2009.

Competed on the Tennis and Cross Country Teams, Qualifying for Regionals in both

senior year.

I was also a member of several clubs such as ping pong, national honors society, and

fellowship of Christian athletes.

I also was a part of a financial analysis team in BPA (Business Professionals of America)

where we qualified for state.

This gave me my first look into the accounting and boosted my professionalism.

Summer of 2010 and 2011 I worked as a Deliveryman for Papa Johns:• Managed hundreds of dollars in sales each day.• Responsible for timely delivery• Provided customer service face to face and over the phone

taking orders

Summers of 2008 and 2009 I worked as a Team Sports Associate at Academy Sports and Outdoors:• Responsible for shelf upkeep and restocking inventory• Assisted in training new employees• Provide service and product knowledge to customers.

In 2009, I moved to Lubbock and became a Red Raider!

Made the Deans List both semesters my freshman year…

… and have maintained above a 3.5 GPA

Classes at Texas Tech have given me the confidence I need to succeed in the business world.

Team work experience and classes on communicating professionally have already

had an impact on my work and writing abilities.

Tech’s accounting classes have given me a great foundation for later jobs and experiences.

I was the captain of several intramural teams, including flag football, basketball and dodge

ball giving me great leadership experience.

My team was able to get 1st place in the spring dodge ball tournament.

I was even able to win the bench press competition for my weight class, putting up 275 pounds!

My sophomore year I applied and got accepted into the professional fraternity Delta Sigma Pi.

I have been an active member for 3 semesters now, helping to bring in new

members, expanding my network, and hoping to soon hold an officer position.

I compete in several community fun runs each year usually placing in the top 3 overall

finishers.

Back home, I have assisted with several audits at my church, giving me insight to the accounting

world.
