Page 3: Sam's Song of Myself

Where does one go to escape?Where does one find peace

and happiness? In the quietness I sit,Yet am surrounded by melody.

Page 4: Sam's Song of Myself

What is there in life but to live,Live with passion and meaning.A mind is a terrible thing to

waste,But a life lived without

meaning Is lived in vain.

Page 5: Sam's Song of Myself

By whatever means youAre here reading this,This the song of myself,Learn for yourself whether That which I say is for your ears.Experience for yourself the

teachingsWithin this, the song of myself.

Page 7: Sam's Song of Myself

Teachings are but words,Experience is putting words to

the test.So see what I see,Hear what I hear.

Page 8: Sam's Song of Myself

People that have not the knowledge

Or lack the experience of the wastefulness

Of unpurposeful living know not the drudges

Of this wastefulness.

Page 9: Sam's Song of Myself

Take, for instance, the steel miller workingLong and hard because he wasted his life. The advertising agent that works for merely

money. The prisoner incarcerated for stealing. The young school boy skipping classesNeglecting the wisdom in schooling. The addict wasting away on the street

corner,Waste, the reject of the world. No one likes it, it just is.Purpose, the reason for being. It can be grasped by the simplest of persons.

The young musician who plays his instrumentFor the pure joy of it.The wife who spends her days cooking and

cleaning, Create the best life for her children. The lady volunteering at the soup kitchen

each morning. The college student preparing for his future. The business executive making a living To care for his family. The kindergarten teacher that making barely

above minimumWage, but takes joy in teaching kids.

Page 11: Sam's Song of Myself

What are the chances that you are you And I am me?As I sit here alone I fall away from myself,I fall into the stream of life.Wait, what is this? Time to go?We have been triggered to shoot forth. We race faster and faster Searching for the mark.By the thousands we race forth,Carried within the flow. What is this? I have won!Amongst the odds I have reached the goal,I have done what no other has done. The product of my victory will be seen for

decades to come.

Page 13: Sam's Song of Myself

What are the odds that you and I

Sit here as we do?The odds were against us,But yet here we sit.Why then shall we sit by

wastingThe glorious triumph of life?

Page 14: Sam's Song of Myself

“What is my purpose?” you ask.

I answer you, what makes you happy?

What truly fulfills you?I have found my purpose in lifeAnd seek to live life to its

fullest.

Page 15: Sam's Song of Myself

So then, why do you sit there reading this-

The song of myself. You yourself have your own

song,Your own melody.

Page 16: Sam's Song of Myself

Create for you your life,A life that is grounded in meaning. What time is there but now? These are the times that will be

remembered.Let them be remembered by all as The times that were not thrown away. But the times that you lived with

passion.

Page 17: Sam's Song of Myself

This concludes the song of myself,But here begins the song of yourself.I have succeeded in finding purpose.Strive for excellence.A life comes but once,Seeking a purposeful life is but the

beginning,In achieving a meaningful life lays

the challenge.
