Some people are currently under the impression that anybody can write a blog. That is like believing anybody can become a best-selling author, which is entirely not true. Therefore, not everybody has the skill to produce an entry worth reading, which is the main purpose behind writing a blog. For this very reason, the number of blogs I view are limited. However, the blogs I do keep up with are not only capable of holding my attention, but encourage me to think about ideas and opinions that I have never thought of prior to reading. Huffington Post is an excellent example of a blog that produces a wide range of viable content written by various points of view. They are one of the blogs I choose to read because they never cease to capture my attention. Business Insider is another blog I choose to keep up with because their content is current and factual. And because of that, I regard their writers as experts of the business industry. If I were to start a blog for a business, it would be for Print Syndicate. A Columbus based business with a bright future in converting social trends into digital designs. The name of the blog would be P.S. You’re Welcome. The purpose behind my blog would be to provide my audience with a feeling of inclusion when it comes to their self-expression, which is what Print Syndicate does with their own products and services. I would combine the styles of Huffington Post and Business Insider to create a blog that features many different voices, but is still cohesive and will be identified as a source of information. I would also model my blog after Signal vs. Noise (37 Signals’ blog) with the intention of creating a strong relationship with other growing Ohio businesses. To keep up with social trends I would post frequently but never more than three times a month. Ten Topics for Future Blogs 1.) Internships- This blog would ask our readers what characteristics they think make up an excellent intern. It would also encourage the readers to discuss their own experiences. 2.) Ohio Events- This blog would talk about local upcoming events and would show that Print Syndicate is involved with the community.
