NOT TO ADD TO THE WORD OF YHVH:Proverbs 30:5 Every WORD of ELOHIM is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. {pure: Heb. purified} 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall NOT ADD unto the WORD which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of YHVH your ELOHIM which I command you.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, ELOHIM shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing so ever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

De 13:18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of YHVH thy ELOHIM, to KEEP (guard in Hebrew) ALL his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of YHVH your ELOHIM.

MATTHEW 28:1 ¶ In the end of the sabbath

<sabbaton>, as it began to dawn toward the first <mia> day of the

week <sabbaton>, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to

see the sepulchre.

MARK 16:2 And very early in the morning the

first <mia> day of the week <sabbaton>, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

LUKE 24:1 ¶ Now upon the first <mia> day of the week <sabbaton>, very early in the morning, they came unto

the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and

certain others with them.

JOHN 20:1 ¶ The first <mia> day of the week

<sabbaton> cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet

dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from

the sepulcher.

JOHN 20:19 ¶ Then the same day at evening, being the first <mia> day of the week <sabbaton>, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came YESHUA and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. ACTS 20:7 ¶ And upon the first <mia> day of the week <sabbaton>, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow and continued his speech until midnight. 1Co 16:2 Upon the first <mia> day of the week <sabbaton> let every one of you lay by him in store , as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Page 10: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

First Day of the WeekThe underlying Greek text is “mia ton

sabbaton”, which when literally translated means “one of the sabbath/s”, but is traditionally

rendered as “first day of the week.” The term “first day of the week” is

literally translated as “proté hemera tis hebdomata” in Greek, but nowhere appears as such in the N.T. There is a

strong argument that “mia ton sabbaton” should be rendered

according to Semitic idiom as “day one of the week”,

Many believers in Yahshua believe that the Sabbath day was stablish as a commandments in chapter 2 of Genesis. But, as we will see in this study we have biblical evidence that the Sabbath has being from the first WORD of the bible.

THE SABBATH IS A SIGN OF THE COVENANT BETWEEN YHVH AND ISRAEL

EXODOS 31:12 ¶ And YHVH spake unto Moses, saying, 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am YHVH that doth sanctify you. 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to YHVH: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. {holy: Heb. holiness} 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a SIGN between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days YHVHH made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. 18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of ELOHIM.

IS THE SABBATH A JEWISH FEAST OR YHVH’S FEAST?

Leviticus 23:1 ¶ And YHVH spake unto

Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children

of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of

YHVH, which ye shall proclaim to be holy

convocations, even these are my feasts.

THE LAND ALSO SHOULD ENJOY A SABBATH REST IN HEBREW IS CALLED A SHEMITTA (EVERY SEVEN

YEARS)OR JUDGEMENT WILL COME AGAINST ISRAEL

Leviticus 26:33 And I will scatter you among the

heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. 34 Then shall the land enjoy her

sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her

sabbaths. 35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

Page 24: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Leviticus 26:43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without

them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their

iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my

statutes.

Page 25: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Ezequiel 20:19 I am YHVH your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them 20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am YHVH your God. 21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness. 22 Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth. 23 I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries; 24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

Page 26: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

The believers in Yahshua claim to be priest thru the blood of Messiah who is the high priest In the Order of Melkicedek. Then we should be careful to

keep the commandment and teach just like the high priest in the line of Aaron:

Ezequiel 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. {violated: Heb. offered violence to}

THE BLESSING FOR KEEPING THE SABBATH OF YHVH

Isaiah 56:1 ¶ Thus saith YHVH, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. {judgment: or, equity} 2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Isaiah 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to YHVH, to serve him, and to love the name of YHVH, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Page 28: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Isaiah 58:13 ¶ If thou turn away thy foot from

the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of

YHVH, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own

ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own

words: 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in YHVH; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the

earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of YHVH hath spoken

it.

Did Yahshua keep the Sabbath?Luke 4:16

And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went

into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to

read.

Luke 4:31 ¶ And came down to

Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath

days.

Page 30: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

DID YAHSHUA BREAK THE SABBATH?Next is some peoples manipulation of scripture to

say that the messiah broke the Sabbath day.Mattew 12:1

¶ At that time Yahshua went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

Luke 6:1 ¶ And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

(the second Sabbath is the temple service priestly order which began during the first Sabbath of the month of aviv or

Passover)Mark 2:23

And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?

Page 31: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

According to the Scriptures He was not breaking the Sabbath day:

Deuteronomy 23:25When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.

25 AFTER YAHSHUAACT S 13:14 ¶ But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down. 15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

THE GENTILE CONVERTS AND JEWS WERE IN THE SYNAGOGUE

Ac 13:42 ¶ And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. {the next...: Gr. in the week between, or, in the sabbath between} 43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of GOD. 44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.

the kingdom of God.

What was the testimony out of Paul’s mouth and the testimony of the elders of the congregation in Yerushalayim.

Acts 24:14

all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

Did Paul keep the feast of YHVH?

Acts 20:16 For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost. 1Corinthians 16:8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

DID PAUL KEEP THE PASSOVER AND TOLD OTHER TO KEEP IT??

1Corithians 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 ¶ Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our passover is sacrificed for us: {is sacrificed; or, is slain} 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. {the feast: or, holyday}

Page 42: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

NEXT WE NEED TO LOOK AT THE DEFINITION OF SIN IN THE BIBLE.

What is SIN?

1John 3:4 ¶ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the

law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Page 43: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

What is the LOVE of YHVH??1John 5:1

¶ Whosoever believeth that Yahshua is the Messiah is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. {is born: Gr. has been born} 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Page 44: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

2 John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Page 45: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

1John 23 ¶ And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Page 46: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Now we will talk about the conspiracy by the Catholic Church and also the reformers in keeping the traditions of the catholic practices.

Page 47: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

I renounce all customs, legalisms, unleavened breads and sacrifices of lambs of the HebrewsAnd all the other Feasts of the Hebrews, sacrifices, prayers, aspirations, purifications, andPropitiations and fast and new moons and sabbaths and superstitions and hymns and chants,And observances and synagogues, absolutely everything jewish, every law, rite and custom and ifAfterwards I shall wish to deny and return to Jewish superstition, or shall be found eating with jewsOr feasting with them, or secretly conversing and condemning the Christian religion instead of openlyConfuting them and condemning their vain faith, then let the trembling of cain and the leprosy of Gehazi

Cleave to me, as well as the legal punishments to which I acknowledge myself liable. And may I be an anathema in the world to come, and may my soul be set down with satanAnd the devils.” (stcfano Assemani, Acta Sanctorium Martyrum Orientaliom at Accidentalium, Vol. 1 Rome 1748 page 105

Furthermore, any follower of the “Jewish Messiah” who wish to join this “holy community”Was compelled to adopt a different set of rules and customs. Subsequently special creeds wereDrafted , to which the Christian would have to swear such as: I accept all customs, rites, legalism, and feast of the Romans, sacrifices, prayers, purifications with water, sanctifications by Pontificus Maxmus ( high priest of Rome), propitiations, and feast and the NEW SABBATH “ SOL DIE” all new chants and observances, and all the foods and drinks of the Romans. In other words, I absolutly accept everything Roman, every new law, rite and custom of Rome and the New Roman Religion”

Additionally, in approximately 365 AD, the Catholic Council of Laodicea wrote, in one of their canons:Christians must not judaize by resting on the sabbath, but must work on that day, rather, honoring the Lord’ Day. But if any shall be found to be Judaizers, let them be anathema(against) from Christ”

Page 49: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

“They(the Nazarenes) have no different ideas, but confess

everything exactly as the law proclaims it and in the Jewish

fashion—except for their belief in Messiah…… but since they are still fettered by the law—circumcision, the Sabbath, and the rest—they

are not in accord with Christians”

The evidence that the early believers in Yahshua kept the Sabbath and the customs

just like messiah and Paul. The so called church fathers gave us

information about the observance of the early assembly, man like Ephiphanius wrote in the

4th century stating:

Page 50: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

We have confesions of bishops and catholic priest quoting and

discussing the change of the Sabbath to Sun-day

worship. Here are some quotes of the so called believers in

the Jewish Messiah admitting profaning of

the commandments.

Page 51: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

James Cardinal Gibbons, The Faith of our Fathers,

“But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will find not find a single line authorizing the

sanctification of sun-day. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of

Saturday a day which we never sanctify

Page 52: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed. P 174

“Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to

institute festivals of precept?“Answer: Had she not the power, she could not have done that in which all

modern religionists agree with her-she could not have substituted the

observance of Sun-day, The first day of the week, for the observance of

Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no scriptural authority”

Page 53: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

John Laux, course in religion for the catholic High Schools and

Academies(1936)vol. 1 p.51.“Some Theologians have held that GOD likewise directly determined the Sunday as the day of worship in the New Law,

that He Himself has explicitly substituted the Sunday for the Sabbath. But this

theory is now entirely abandoned. It is now commonly held that GOD simply

gave His church the power to set aside whatever day or days she would seem

suitable as holy days. The church chose Sun-day, the first day of the week, and in the course of time added other days as

holy days”

Page 54: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Daniel Ferres, ed Manual of Messiahianity Doctrine (1916),

p.67

“Question: How prove you that the Church hath power to command feast

and holy days?“Answer: By the very act of changing

the Sabbath into Sun-day, which protestants allow of, and therefore they

fondly contradict themselves, by Keeping Sunday strictly, and breaking most other feasts commanded by the

Church”

Page 55: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

James Cardinal Gibbons, Archbishop of Baltimore(1877-1921)

In a signed letter.

“Is Saturday the seventh day according to the Bible and the Ten Commandments? I answer Yes. Is Sunday the first day of the week and did the church change the

seventh day –Saturday-for Sunday, the first? I answer Yes, Did Messiah

change the day? I answer no!“Faithfully your J. Card.

“For example , nowhere in the bible do we find that Messiah or the Apostles ordered that the Sabbath be change

from Saturday to Sunday. We have the commandment of GOD given to Moses to keep holy the Sabbath day, that is the

seventh day of the week, Saturday. Today most Christians keep Sunday

because it has been revealed to us by the (roman catholic) church outside the

bible”

Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R. the converts Catechism of Catholic

Doctrine (1957),p50

“Question: Which is the Sabbath day?“Answer : Saturday is the Sabbath day.“Question : Why do we observe Sunday instead of Saturday?“Answer: We observe Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to Sunday”

Page 59: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Martin J Scott, Things Catholic are asked about (1972)p.136

“Nowhere in the bible is it stated that worship should be changed from Saturday

to Sunday….. Now the Church…. Instituted, by GOD’s authority, Sunday as the day of worship. This same Church, by

the same divine authoritytaught the doctrine of purgatory long before the bible was made. We have,

therefore, the same authority for purgatory as we have for Sunday.”

Page 60: Sabbath the eternal sign of the covenant

Peter R. Kraemer, Catholic Church Extention Society(1975) Chicago, Illinois

“Regarding the change from the observance of the Jewish Sabbath to the Christian Sunday, I wish to draw your attention to the facts:

“1) that protestants, who accept the bible as the only rule of faith and religion, should by all means go back to the observance of the

Sabbath. The fact that they do not, but on the contrary observe the Sunday, stultifies them in the eyes of every thinking man.

“2) We Catholics do not accept the bible as the only rule of faith Besides the bible we have the living Church, the authority of the

church, as a rule to guide us. We say, this church, instituted by Christ to teach and guide man through life, has the right to change the ceremonial laws of the Old testament and hence, we accept her

change of the Sabbath to Sunday. We frankly say, yes the church made this change, made this law, as she made many other laws for

instance, Friday abstinence, the unmarried priesthood, the laws concerning mixed marriages, the regulation of Catholic marriages

and a thousand other laws.“It is always somewhat laughable, to see the Protestant churches, in pulpit and legislation, demand the observance of Sunday, of which

there is nothing in their bible.”

T. Enright, C.S.S.R. in a lecture at Hartford, Kansas, FEB 18, 1884.

I repeatedly offered $1,000 to anyone who can prove to me from the bible alone that I am bound to keep Sunday Holy. There is no such law in the Bible. It is a law of the

holy Catholic Church alone. The Bible says, Remember the Sabbath day and keep it

PROTESTANT CONFESSIONS

Protestant theologians and preachers from a wide

spectrum of denominations have been quite candid in admitting that there is no

Biblical authority for observing Sunday as a

Sabbath.

Anglican/EpiscopalIsaac Williams, plains Sermons on

the catechism, vol 1.“And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all?

We are commanded to keep the seventh: but we are nowhere

commanded to keep the first day…. The reason why we keep the first day of the week holy instead of the seventh is for the same reason that we observe many other things, not because the bible, but

because the church has enjoined it.”

“There is no word, no hint, in the new testament about abstaining from work on Sunday…. Into the

rest of Sunday no divine law enters…..The observance of Ash

Wednesday or Lent stands exactly on the same footing as

the observance of Sunday”

Bishop Seymor, WHY WE KEEP SUNDAY.

“We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of

the one holy Catholic Church.”

Baptist Dr. Edward T Hiscox, a paper read before a New york

ministers conference, Nov. 13 1893, reported in New York examiner, Nov. 16, 1893

“There was and is a commandment to keep holy the Sabbath day, but that Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will be said, However, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week… Where can the record of such a transaction be found? Not in the new Testament absolutely not.“To me it seems unaccountable that jesus, during three years intercourse with HIS disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question ….never alluded to any transference of the day: also, that during forty days of His resurrection life, no such thing was intimated.“Of course , I quite know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian History…… but what a pity it comes branded with the mark of paganism, and christened with the name of the sun god, adopted and sanctioned by the papal apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism!”

“there was never any formal authoritative

change from the jewish seventh day sabbath to the Christian first-day

observance.”

FIRST DAY OBSERVANCE,PP 17,19

“The first day of the week is commonly called the Sabbath. This

is a mistake. The Sabbath of the Bible was the day just preceding the first day of the week. The first day of the week is never called the Sabbath any where in the entire scriptures. It is also an error to talk about the

change of the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. There is not in

any place in the Bible any intimation of such a change”

“We have been seen how gradually the impression of the Jewish Sabbath faded from the mind of the Christian church, and how completely the newer thought underlying the observance of the first day took possession of the church. We

have seen that the Christians of the first three centuries never confused one with

the other, but for a time celebrated both”

“They ( Roman Catholics) refer to the Sabbath Day, a shaving been

changed into the Lord’s Day, Contrary to the Decalogue, as it seems. Neither

is there any example whereof they make more than concerning the changing of the the Sabbath day,

Great. Say they, is the power of the church, since it has dispensed with one of the Ten Commandments”

Dr. Augustus Neander, The History of the Christian Religion and Church Henry John rose,

tr. (1843),p. 186

“The Festival of Sunday, like all other festivals, was always only a human ordinance, and it was far

from the intentions of the apostles to establish a Divine command in this respect, far from them, and

from the early apostolic Church, to transfer, far from, and from the

early apostolic Church, to transfer the law of the Sabbath to Sunday.”

“But they err in teaching that Sunday has taken the place of the Old

Testament Sabbath and therefore must be kept as the seventh day had to be

kept by the children of Israel ….. These churches err in their teaching, for

Scripture has in no way ordained the first day of the week in place of the

Sabbath. There is simply no law in the new Testament to that effect.”

It was not the design of his coming to revoke any part of this. This is a law which never can be broken…. Every part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind, and in all ages: as not depending either on time or place, or any other circumstances liable to change, but on the nature of GOD and the nature of man, and their unchangeable relation to each other.”

“The Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This

fourth commandment begins with the word remember, showing that the

Sabbath already existed when GOD Wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai. How can men claim that this one

commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other

nine are still binding?”

DEUTERONOMY 30 11 ¶ For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.15 ¶ See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: 20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
